Welcome!

Welcome to my little ol' blog. I'll be upfront about it: I don't blog very often any more. If you found your way here because you read my book "Trailer Life," have a gander! But it's easier to keep up with me on Instagram or on my Facebook page. I have this long, drawn out theory on why I'm a terrible blogger, but that is a story for another day. Enjoy the ramblings of my life from the last 8 years or so.

Let it snow!

Snow at 8:05am...

Snow at 8:20am...

Snow on my van... this was around 8:40am. I'm no weather-caster, but by my unofficial estimates we got about 2 inches in 45 minutes. Right now (almost 10am) it is just spitting a little. (Spitting is a term I got from my grandma Mayhall... that means just barely, a little bit.) The kids can't wait to make a snowman, but I don't think they'll last five minutes. We have no gloves, snow shoes, real jackets... maybe next year we will have to get some.

  1. Snow in California and it's almost April...wow!

We had snow coming home from the temple yesterday too. Randy and David didn't want to stop for lunch at Tommy's because they thought we might be too slow and the road would be closed. I just laughed and said, "Yea, right, it's the end of March!" They stopped and we made it. In fact you could barely see any snow. They were worried because Jimmy Bunting (from Penryn), had called David on his cell phone and said the road was closed in Tehachapi. He was on his way back home from visiting his kids.
