Welcome!

Welcome to my little ol' blog. I'll be upfront about it: I don't blog very often any more. If you found your way here because you read my book "Trailer Life," have a gander! But it's easier to keep up with me on Instagram or on my Facebook page. I have this long, drawn out theory on why I'm a terrible blogger, but that is a story for another day. Enjoy the ramblings of my life from the last 8 years or so.

Singing video for my fellow play pals

All of these people have different voices and all are famous and get paid lots of money to sing. It helps me feel just a teeny tiny bit better about my singing- because I often sound more like a Katy Perry than a Janice Kapp Perry singer.

  1. That's funny! I have made the blog rounds this morning and have found lots of "play nerves" and every one of them had a long comment from you too, so I thought I'd return the favor. You did NOT look or sound like a dork. You may have felt that way, but that is totally on the inside and one of the biggest reasons I want to tape rehearsals ... so you can all see how very calm you look! Honest, you look and sound great! The only thing you have to do now is believe me so that you can be comfortable with it ... that, I will admit, takes some practice.

  2. There is a reason they all get paid to sing. I think they know what the actually notes in a song are supposed to sound like, I realized yesterday I have no clue... as in none... how any given musical note should sound. You sound good by the way, and I could hear you, all the way back in my corner. I think feeling like a dork is probably the better way to go, it's always better than looking like one, right?

  3. If I am understanding hour blog, you are in the process of making a singing video and I am very excited. If you are doing pre-sales, I want one. Do you accept visa or paypal?

  4. The piano thing is a great idea. I was wishing the other day that I still had mine, which I got rid of because it just sat there and the only time I played it was with one hand. Which really doesn't do anyone any good. I got the sheet music for the same reason Gloria did, but I'm not having any luck, and I cannot sing with just the music on the CD.

  5. You know how I feel, I LOVE YOUR voice, YOURS! You sound great, and we will all get the confidence we need to sound and look GREAT, and if we don't I will provide the xanax!
